New York, NY – Back from our first weekend tour in celebration of the tenth anniversary. Nice reviews, good shows, friendly folks. And Tony even got to eat some lobster

Thanks to Jose, Mark and JJ of Spouse. Such a pleasure to be touring with an amazing band who also happen to be great people. Looking forward to Round 2 in December.

Thanks also to Don (Dilego!) and Johnny who came down to Virginia to be part of the triple bill celebration at IOTA. Great to have a lovefest of talented friends on the stage with us that night.

FYI: During our second set, Riley exceded even his own high standards as MC of our Mediterranean specatcular. Yes, that man in black standing on the bar with a bright red kerchief around his neck was none other than Monsieur Rhyleeee McMahon.
And so nice that Kevin at last got to introduce Gaston LePew to a southern audience. (If you think this is all reading like a bad in-joke, please go to cnn.com.)

But I digress. The thanks must contiune:

Thanks to Rose for putting some of us up in Portland at very late notice; thanks to Liz for doing the same in Boston, and also to Dave & Karen; thanks once again to Dan and Maria for furnishing a halfway house for itinerant musicians in DC.

Thanks so much to our DC friends and fans for coming out and staying late. A particular treat to see Ugly Love producer and current Finnish sensation, Peter Fox, at the shindig en route from LA to Helsinki.

Very big thanks to Connie Poole for so generously donating her time and talents to wrangle up some press in the capital!! Thanks Connie!

And finally, thank you so much Amanda (Amanda Case, that is, of AIC Entertainment) for rewarding our impossible booking demands with… confectionary! To quote Leonard Cohen: “Everyone wants a box of chocolates.” And there were SEVERAL waiting for us at IOTA. Very much appreciated!

But why doesn’t that happen every day? Shouldn’t it always be in our rider?? I thought it was.

PS. After the show, the band divided the spoils much in the style of the Great Powers carving up Europe at the end of the Napoleonic Wars. A disgusting spectacle!
