THE LEDGE

Park City, UT- Matthew Chapman’s film, THE LEDGE, featuring three Enemies tunes, is being released theatrically on Friday, July 8th in New York (at the IFC Center) and Los Angeles (at Sunset 5). It is also available through video on demand. For screening details visit the film’s website.

The Ledge is a bleak thriller and a meditation on the conflict between faith and reason in modern America. The film stars Liv Tyler, Terrence Howard, Charlie Hunnam and Patrick Wilson. It premiered at the 2011 Sundance Festival and has since been acquired by the Independent Film Channel.

Chapman, a good friend of Spott’s and a big fan of the band, has taken three tunes from the 2008 release, Salvation. These are “In The Pouring Rain,” “Dirty Fingerprints” and “Thank You.” The latter is used in its entirety as the closing credits number.

Chapman, a great grandson of Charles Darwin and a successful Hollywood screenwriter, has also enlisted Spottiswoode to write the songs for a musical called Romeo and Juliet Grow Up. Spott is currently in London working on the songs and rhyming words like “species” with “Medicis.”
